In November 2011, Spiru Haret University acceded,by way of its Central Research Institute,to the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

Following this accession due to the diligence of the Central Research Institute, USH was accepted in the Working Group 4 of the HR Strategy for Research in 2012, and attended on 29 October 2012 in the first working meeting in Brussels. Spiru Haret University was the only university in Romania whose candidature was accepted, thus enabling USH direct involvement in the substantiation of the HR European Strategy in European Research.
